LOOKING DOWN THE STRAWMORE
As the world is increasingly trying to start a war on single-use plastic, we wanted to give people an alternative that would last a lifetime and make them proud to use.
The value of STRAWMORE products is increased because they are made of rare metals and other unlikely used materials.
TESTIMONIALS
Creating a story for every straw and adding testimonials from users makes the whole concept more credible.
Is it realistic that people could use a straw to propose to their partner?

MATERIALS
If plastic straws are bad, would gold straws be any better? What would happen if we started mining for gold just so that we could supply the demand for golden straws?
What if you start using snake skin to personalise your straw so that it matches your designer shoes or purse?

USER OUTCOMES
Feedback from the 1st round of user testing (early prototype):
home page looks crappy because of bad quality video and amatour photos
descriptions of the products and photos of the straws in the shop are nice
would be nice to have photos with people drinking colourful drinks so it looks Instagram-like and would address target group [that the user was thinking of]
there are some issues in a mobile version of the website with the photo formats and how the content is distributed (differently than on the web version)
Following the above insights we filled the website with colourful, high quality pictures and adjusted the mobile version.
Feedback from the 2nd round of user testing (final version):
the stories (users testimonials) are great
the photos look pro
In the SHOP page, some of the images are interactive and some of them are not; following the same structure in all pages would give the user a more pleasing experience
the website is very believable: “are you actually selling these straws?” , "what is the history of STRAWMORE"?
the information about products is clearly communicated
We also asked the users whether they would buy our straws:
“I would rather stop using the straw at all than buying en expensive one, because of the price”
"but there is definitely a target group for that kind of product"
"I don’t need a straw, maybe for a beer, but 500 kr is too much for me (student 20 year)
“I never use straws but maybe I would buy one of these”
